It is autumn here in New Hampshire. Leaves are almost gone, the air nice and crisp in the mornings. Its is time for a new scarf!
Do you have one skein of a self-striping yarn?
Do you like knitting quick fun projects?
How about this ruffled scarf?
Knitted with a garter stitch and shaped with short rows, this scarf has soft-draping ruffles along its length.
It is not easy to find a pattern for a self-striping yarn. This one works well with solid colors as well as with stripes and marbled yarns.
Do you like the scarf? Do you want to knit it for you (and your mom, and your best friend ever and... - you got the picture!).
I am offering it for sale as an instant PDF download for US $4.00

ReplyDeleteI just got this pattern and am so excited to get started - but have a question - should the turns be a wrap and turn?
ReplyDeleteAre your patterns copyrighted or is it ok to sell the item?
ReplyDeletethe patterns are copyrighted, sorry :) - Natalia
ReplyDeleteI just bought the pattern for this. I'm looking forward to knitting this, but as a pretty new knitter, I have one question. On the directions, where it calls for a "slip" as the first stitch, what does that mean? Do I just slip the first loop off onto the needle with no yarn through it?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
It's been really causing me problems not knowing that.
HI Colleen - slip means move a stitch from a left needle to a right needle without doing anything else to it ( no knitting, no purling). Your yarn should be behind the work.
